PRE-TATTOO

  • Please eat prior to your tattoo appointment!

  • Bringing water and snacks is highly encouraged.

  • Keep in mind that your clothing may get ink on it, so wear something that you don't mind getting dirty.

  • Please don't take anything other than Ibuprofen (if necessary) for pain.

  • We are currently not allowing any guests to sit at the appointment. Please come alone!

AFTERCARE

  • Leave the breathable wrap on for 2-8 hours. Depending on the time you get your tattoo, you can sleep in the bandage and remove it in the morning.

  • With clean hands, wash your tattoo with unscented soap under warm water. Do this 2-3 times a day or more. Dab it dry and apply a very thin layer of ointment. (Hustle Butter, Aquaphor, A+D etc.)

  • In the first 3 days, your tattoo will weep blood/plasma so it's important to dab it once in a while, especially after applying ointment.

  • After 3-4 days, you can switch to an unscented lotion and continue to use that for the remainder of the healing.

SANIDERM

  • Keep the Saniderm on for 1-3 days.

  • Fluid (blood/plasma) will accumulate underneath the surface of the bandage and it may create a bubble. The liquid might be discolored and opaque. This is normal and it should remain untouched for as long as 3 days.

  • If the Saniderm comes off before the 3 days is up, wash your tattoo with warm water and unscented soap. Apply another Saniderm bandage or follow the traditional aftercare procedure above.

  • If you have or have been given another Saniderm piece, reapply the bandage  to dry skin and leave it on for another 3 days.

  • Remove the bandage after 3 days. Hand wash, dry and apply an unscented lotion for the next five or so days.

  • Once your tattoo is fully healed, remember to always apply a minimum of 50 SPF sunscreen for preservation.

  • Stay hydrated during the healing process!

  • In the case of infection (puss, abnormal pain, swelling, discoloration, etc.) see physician.

  • No soaking, swimming, tanning or shaving for at least 2 weeks after getting tattooed. Steer clear of pet dander and debris.

  • Touch ups on my work are free of charge within the first year.
